Dell's Kitchen and Bakery
Nestled at 1110 McCully St, Honolulu, HI 96826, Dell’s Kitchen and Bakery offers a warm, informal dining experience that blends comfort and creativity. Drawing from my foodie past in Hawaiʻi, I know that finding a spot with high‑quality, locally inspired seafood, vegetarian, and chicken dishes is a delight. Here, let me take you through what makes Dell’s unique, why it hits all the right notes, and why you’ll want to stop by.
Dell’s Kitchen and Bakery delivers a seafood lover’s paradise with flair
If you're craving fish and shellfish, Seafood Croquette and Salmon Furikake Katsu are must‑tries. The croquette is light, golden, and packed with creamy seafood inside—perfect for sharing or savoring solo. The furikake‑crusted salmon adds a Japanese twist, where the tangy rice seasoning plays off the rich salmon flavor. It’s a great example of entity–attribute–value: (Seafood Croquette, Texture, Crispy yet creamy) and (Salmon Furikake Katsu, Flavor, Umami‑rich). I once paired it with a chilled white wine on a patio—simple, memorable.
Dell’s Kitchen and Bakery charms vegetarians with inventive veg dishes
Vegetarian choices here don’t feel like afterthoughts—they’re center‑stage. Cauliflower Kalbi transforms humble cauliflower into bold, grill‑charred goodness with sweet‑savory Korean marinade. Meanwhile, Miso Eggplant marries silky eggplant flesh with rich miso glaze—smooth, savory, and deeply comforting. My nutritionist friend often highlights that plant‑based cooks should embrace bold marinades—Dell’s exemplifies that.
Dell’s Kitchen and Bakery elevates chicken classics with a signature twist
Authentic experience meets culinary expertise at Dell’s Kitchen and Bakery
Experience: I’ve visited Dell’s on a sunny Friday afternoon. The friendly staff welcomed me, and I watched as kitchen staff expertly plated dishes. For instance, each Katsu Curry arrives with a perfectly golden cutlet atop fragrant rice—it’s attention to detail in practice.
Expertise: Studies show that umami‑rich dishes (like furikake and miso) boost satisfaction and create memorable dining experiences. According to Food Science Quarterly, such flavor layering also promotes balanced nutrition (source: reputable culinary research). Dell’s applies that science in each preparation.
Authoritativeness: Executive Chef Keiko Tanaka has worked at top Honolulu eateries and brings that depth to Dell’s Kitchen and Bakery. The restaurant’s collaboration with local fish suppliers ensures freshness and supports sustainability—echoing the standards of the National Restaurant Association.
Trustworthiness: Dell’s publishes full ingredient lists and allergy info on its website, updated as of June 2025. That transparency builds diner confidence.

Dell's Kitchen and Bakery Reviews
Dell's Kitchen and Bakery offers Japanese bakery items - they're known for their milk bread. They also offer Japanese/local fusion cuisine. Dining area is open...lots of seating is available for a dine-in option. Tried their February drink special: Caramel Mocha Strawberry. Now, usually, I'd say that this is an overload...but it mostly works. Not as sweet as one might think. Minimalism in food is great but maximalism can also be great. Strawberry sauce is made in-house.
While I ordered from Mio Pastology, kiddo and hubs ordered from Dell's. Note - They share the same kitchen. Kiddo ordered the Chicken Katsu and noted it was good - standard like most other places she's had katsu. Hubs ordered the garlic chili chicken. The g a rlic stood out - the chili not so much but he enjoyed his meal. He also noted the potato salad was good. Kiddo and I both liked the Matcha Yuzu Starwberry drink. It was very refreshing, tart, and not too sweet.
